I am planning to unit on Life Science for my 5th grade ESL students to support what is being taught in their classroom. I plan to have lessons on Ecosystem, food chain, food web, carbon cycle with emphasis on important vocabulary that they will encounter in each topic.

My plan is to have a unit ready for either Romeo and Juliet for 3rd six weeks, or start something for To Kill a Mockingbird, which we just started reading. I think that it would be really interesting to have them utilize technology in a number of ways: video, obviously iPods for reading and writing practice, as well as some podcasting and anything else I can think of.
If it works for these books, I would certainly integrate this into my other units and novels for the year.

For first grade I'll be doing "Seasons". Taking this topic and find ways to incorporate technology into the kid's learnings will be an exciting experience for me as well!
