Implementing a project

I would need to arrange time in a computer lab, or access to a laptop cart. I would also need to purchase the wood, glue, boxcutters, wax-paper etc before hand. We would need access to a lab or area to leave the bridges to dry. It all comes down to knowing the project well enough to plan ahead so there are no surprises or down times for the kids.

How true, how true! I think that using this type of instruction requires thorough planning. Do you think that I could see some of this when you implement your unit?

sure, it will be next year, but part was done this year. It was a blast. We learned that the smarter the kid, the messier the bridge!

Thinking ahead, getting all supplies required, and yes, of course, get lab availability scheduled. I agree, you try to know your project well enough, but there will always be something down the line that takes you by surprise. Even the teacher has to play student sometimes!
